Q1. How much does a STARTUP Program cost? The present cost is $12,500. This provides a 1 full week (Five consecutive 8 hour days) of training for up to 20 persons (5 staff and 15 inmates), All training materials, DVDs of Video Presentations, a CD with all the documents to conduct the program (allowing you to produce all class materials at no added charge), and a report on the training to indicate those best suited to supervise and facilitate the program

Q2. How much LEAD TIME does SOCNAT require before a STARTUP Program? At least 60 days from the signing date of the Startup Program contract. This allows us to make a 1 day visit to the facility in which you desire the Startup Training to be conducted, make coordination for the production of training materials, for you to select staff and inmates who will attend the training, arrange schedules, and other pre-training necessities.

Q3. When SOCNAT says the Program is Guaranteed, what does that mean? First, it takes at least 4 years, from the moment you start the program, to obtain results to determine the recidivism rate for those in your program. The reason for this is that offenders must be in the program for at least 1 year and released from incarceration for a period of 3 years, without having been reincarcerated for a new crime or PV, before they can be declared as reliable data in determining recidivism rates. SOCNAT guarantees at least a 25% reduction in recidivism (although present research indicates total recidivism is below 15%). The guarantee applies only to institutions who conduct the program in accordance with the written guidelines provided by SOCNAT. It is in SOCNAT's interest to help you achieve the recidivism goals as our reputation and sales of the program depend on your endorsement. We will refund the cost of the STARTUP Program. After the Startup Program, you will be able to make a decision as to full implementation and continuing evaluations.

Q4. How much training have SOCNAT Representatives had in the NXChange Program? SOCNAT provides certification for an Associate Chartered Facilitator (ACF - 2,034 hours), a Master Chartered Facilitator (MCF - 3,406 hours), and for a Permanent Chartered Facilitator (PCF - 5218 hours).

Q5. Is it possible to obtain college credit for attending the SOCNAT NXChange Program? Yes! SOCNAT Programs have been accredited for both Graduate and Undergraduate credit at numerous Colleges and Universities. You make arrangements with your own local educational institutions to approve credit. Those students attending the program make individual application for credit and pay any fees required.

Q6. Do the same people come each time to do evaluations? Normally. We try to have the same Trainer conduct the STARTUP Program and make the Quarterly Evaluations unless the agency prefers a different Trainer to do each Evaluation.

Q7. Who gets a copy of the Evaluation Report.? Only ONE (1) copy of the Quarterly Evaluation Report is provided to the contracting agency or institution. The person recieving that one copy is determined by the contracting agency. SOCNAT does not provide any information to any other agency about anything contained in the Quarterly Evaluation Report. Normally, Agencies can release any information contained in the Quarterly Evaluation Report to the press or the public. No sensitive or confidential information is included in the report.
